Beer Cheese Dip
Pub-style cheese dip, homemade. The only reason you need to make soft pretzels.
Quick Weeknight
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly pour in beer, whisking constantly. It will foam up, so add gradually.
- Add milk and whisk until smooth. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low. Add cheese one handful at a time, stirring until melted.
- Stir in mustard, Worcestershire, garlic powder, cayenne, and salt.
- Serve warm with soft pretzels, bread cubes, or raw vegetables.
- Store leftovers refrigerated; reheat gently with a splash of beer or milk.
